01 — 🌿 The Gateway to the Jungle
Tropical rainforests are primarily located around the equator. It's warm, humid, and receives a lot of rain. This creates a habitat where an incredible number of species coexist.
02 — 🌧️ A World with Layers
The rainforest is not a flat forest. From the highest treetops to the dark forest floor, each layer has its own inhabitants.
- 🌳 Emergent Layer – above most trees.
- 🌿 Canopy – a massive green world full of life.
- 🌱 Understory – shade, leaves, and climbing plants.
- 🍂 Forest Floor – where nutrients return to the ecosystem.
03 — 🦎 Who will we encounter?
During this expedition, you might meet the following inhabitants:
- 🦎 Green iguana – an excellent climber that enjoys staying among the leaves and branches.
- 🦥 Sloth – slow, but perfectly adapted to life high in the trees.
- 🐆 Jaguar – a powerful feline predator that moves effortlessly through the rainforest.
- 🐸 Rainforest amphibians – small inhabitants that depend on a humid habitat.
- 🦜 Tropical birds – colorful inhabitants that disperse seeds and help renew the forest.
