The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world and mainly lives in the open savannas of Africa. While many big cats hunt with strength, the cheetah hunts with pure speed.

🌎 Where does it live?
Cheetahs mainly live in open savannas and grasslands, where they have enough visibility and space to outrun their prey. The majority of the population currently lives in southern and eastern Africa.

Unlike lions or leopards, the cheetah hunts during the day, when other large predators are less active. A hunt rarely lasts longer than a minute: the cheetah relies entirely on explosive speed.

The cheetah can accelerate to over 100 km/h in a few seconds, faster than any other land animal. Its slender body, long tail, and non-retractable claws act as a naturally designed sprint machine.
